Ian and I have had many great debates in our apartment ever since we started designing the house. The latest great debate has been the granite edge in the kitchen. I fall into the camp of the more formal look - specifically the Ogee edge. Ian has voted for the 1/4" Bevel edge. Please keep in mind that our cabinets are shaker style - so pretty plain.

Between your two choices I like yours better... but I like the pencil edge too! Im just thinking of how much crap might get caked into that little lip your choices have... but.. since you are the queen of cleaning and scrubbing.. maybe that won't be an issue for you! :)
I like the full bull nose myself.
Between the choices, sorry Ian but the Ogee is the best -- I actually also like the pencil edge, - yes it's place, but it's got a nice curve to it, so when you accidentally bump into the counter you're not gong to jab yourself!
I LOVE the Ogee!!! That's my vote. It has a classic yet modern look.
