After cleaning her mouth of drool and spit up for the millionth time, a light bulb came on that she could probably use a bib. There were mixed results...

TableTop Fun: Shipyard
I've decided I love games where you build something... this time it's ships!
From BoardGameGeek:
We’re in 19th century, sea transport is more and more important. Both corporations and naval forces require newer and newer ships. Try to put yourself in the role of their manufacturers. Hire employees, buy accessories, get favour of evaluating committees. Don’t forget to rent a canal and you can heave anchor.
Sounds boring - is fantastic! It's definitely one of our "heavier" games... meaning there are so many options and strategies. This can be overwhelming but who knew it would be so much fun to build and launch a fleet of ships?
She was her typical wiggle worm self.

Taking It All In
A couple weeks ago, Emma went to another Baby Blanket class. When I got her out of her car seat, I sat her on my lap and she started to take it all in. It was a packed class... lots of moms and babies... lots of noise. She was more than happy to sit back and observe.

Emma - 3 Months Old
Happy Father's Day Ian... we have a 3 month old. :O
It goes by so fast! Emma is growing like a weed and smiling like crazy. If you lay her down, she'll grab both feet and make happy squeals (a little too loud sometimes... :P). We are thankful she is sleeping through the night in her crib. She takes some of her meals in her high chair. She holds her head pretty steady when you sit her up or help her stand. We call her our pile of goo! :)
Feet in the air!
Goo!
G-Ma and the Petty Family better hurry up and get to Canada! Right Emma?

TableTop Fun: Glen More
Sheep and whiskey. Can't go wrong!
From BoardGameGeek:
Each player represents the leadership of a 17th century Scottish clan looking to expand its territory and its wealth. The success of your clan depends on your ability to make the correct decision at the opportune time, be it by establishing a new pasture for your livestock, growing grain for the production of whisky, selling your goods on the various markets, or investing in the cultivation of special places such as lochs and castles.
Ian and I had been looking for this game for awhile because it has been out of print. We managed to snag a German language copy. The first round we (Drew and Ian) misinterpreted an important rule about resource generation which made the game fairly boring. Thankfully we fixed the mistake and the game got a lot better. Emma sat on the table for the good second round (unimpressed). :P
Goober!
